Yes. Caliach Vision V4.00 onwards fully supports all Unicode characters and has been designed to operate independently of the language seen by the user. Any language can be supported in both the program and the data you can enter. In V4.10 introduced in September 2013 Caliach have produced dynamic program language change to English, Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese. It can be translated into any other language as well and if there is a particular one you need, and a compelling enough case to support it, just contact us and we can take it from there.
Yes. You will find all supported languages in the Demonstration software. TBoth Windows and Mac are fully operational full dynamic translations of the program and Training Data with extra language help you can choose to download at the install stage. There are no payment or registration requirements, it is ready-to-go with only record limitations.
No, not currently. Our current policy is that you are free to use our languages to meet your needs. We can not guarantee that this will always be the case. Commercial circumstances can change and we reserve the right to change this policy without notice or redress. Notably we depend on freely available translation services which are governed by conditions of use that may change at any time and which are outside the control of Caliach Ltd..
Yes. You just install the program and all supported languages and available to switch to in seconds. You can set a default language to start the program in. You need to settle on a single main data language so that information is consistent throughout the business. But with the Language Swap feature you can have multiple swap languages for your data where needed. So you can have, for example, some English and some Korean program users so appropriate speakers have full use of the system, then have your data based in English but have Language Swap languages of French, German and Thai. The combinations are unlimited. For example our Training and Demonstration data file set has 11 swap languages, which are moved around for each install language.
Caliach Vision is a system that holds all language-sensitive text separate from the operating program code. There are three main parts of the system that need to be translated for it to be fully operational in any given language. The Library contains all the menu, window, report and other texts such as buttons, list column headings, tooltips, etc.. Messages that pop-up to warn users or seek confirmation are held in a separate Strings file. And the Help is held as HTML files. There are a few others to make the picture complete including installer, readme and other texts. In all there are over 70,000 phrases, sentences and paragraphs that are collected together in a database, broken into appropriate chunks, and exported to a translator then imported back to their correct location to make the translated data used in dynamic language change.
Yes. Caliach have developed a simple to use crowd-sourced mechanism for continuous language improvement. Anyone using Calaich Vision can, through an Internet connection, suggest improvements. These are loaded into our master translation database, moderated and if approved, all users of that language automatically receive upgrades, usually the next day! There is no one better than actual users of the system for knowing the appropriate regional and industrial terms to use. That is why this mechanism has been chosen over conventional professional translation services. Only one user on a local network need receive the text upgrades for all network users to benefit. And the whole process is so fast that you will not spot it happening!
No. We only speak English. We have devised a comprehensive system to migrate and then maintain the linguistic elements of the system into machine translated language editions. We are always looking for Language Partners who we can work with to perfect the machine translations. If you are interested in becoming a Language Partner contact Chris Ross at email@example.com (in English please).
Yes, of course. The system we have developed is fully designed to maintain itself so that when the master English system evolves, say with the addition of a window or report, extra texts associated with the change are added to the master language database and are subject to new translations. Update maintenance files are thus available with all Languages. Improvements in the translations also form part of this process and users are encouraged to contribute to this constant improvement policy. A sophisticated system of change-management is fully integrated with translation language data so the process adds little to enhancement overhead.
