Export G/L Budget Selection

This window enables you to export a budget table in tab-delimited file format for a selected range of accounts. This file can be opened in a spreadsheet and used to prepare a budget for the coming year. It can then be saved in tab-delimited format and imported.
The Export and Import functions are initiated from the buttons on the Period Budget tab pane of the General Ledger Account Maintenance window.
When you export data the table created contains one row of headings and then a row for each account within the range you select. The heading row should not be removed from the table as this is used when importing to identify the budget periods.
The table has a number of columns of account information to help identify the accounts. These should not be changed. In addition, there is a column for each period starting with the current G/L period and extending for the remainder of the currently set ledgers calendar. You can remove columns if you wish to limit the budget periods but remaining columns should be for consecutive periods. Do not change the column headings.
The values exported are the values contained currently in the budget in the currency of the account. If you check the Set Values To Last Year’s checkbox, zero value or non-existent budget records will be given the actual history for the account of 12 periods previously. This, in effect, pre-loads the draft budget with last year’s actual results.
