Part Selection
Reference Contents > Bills of Material > Part Selection
This window enables you to select a part number. There are a number of navigation buttons, including a special string search.
Typically you can enter a part number partially or in full, use the navigation buttons, use the Keyword system, click on a Parts Scratchpad line or use drag and drop from the Scratchpad or BoM Listing.

Part number |
Enter the leading characters of the part you wish to select. Use the tab key for the system to confirm the closest match for the entered characters. |

Next Parent |
To cycle to the next part that has a BoM . If there is no greater parent part number, it will find the first part that has a BoM. |

Previous Parent |
To find the preceding part number that has a BoM. If there is no preceding parent part it will cycle to the last parent part on file. |

Search for String |
Use to locate a part number which contains the string of characters you have entered. Repeatedly clicking will cycle through all parts which contain the characters. |
|
Cancel |
Aborts the process currently in session. The keyboard equivalent is the Esc key for Windows computers and Command-.(full stop or period) for the Mac. |
|
OK |
The OK button updates the data you have entered, or confirms the selection and/or processes the function you have called. |
