Inventory or stock movement review and reporting functions. See Introduction below:

Line	Function	Keys
Review Part Movements	To obtain a listing of inventory movement history for a selected part . This function opens the Stock History Listing window which contains the Stock History List and Parts Current Quantity subwindows.
Review Part Processing Analysis	To gain an analysis of process activities a part is due to undergo. This function opens the Part Processing Analysis window which contains the Part Process Analysis and Parts Current Quantity subwindows.
Print Movement Reports	To provide reports on a selection of inventory movement history. This function opens the Inventory History Report Selection window which contains the Inventory History Selection subwindow.
Print Stock Cards	To provide Stock Cards report on a selection of parts which will track movements back to a selected date. This function opens the Stock Movement Cards window.

Introduction to Stock History

Data Fields

The system can maintain a full stock history of all movements, if Record inventory movements history is checked in the “System Preferences”. Each record in the history file contains the following:

Field	Description
Part Number	Part in question.
Date	The terminal’s calendar date of the transaction.
Time	The terminal’s clock time when the transaction was made. The time is shown in 24 hour international time.
Movement Type	The type of stock movement is recorded as a single letter code A through T. A list is given below.
Movement Quantity	This is the quantity that increases physical stock when +ve, and reduces physical stock when -ve. In the case of Order preparation history +ve quantities indicate an increase in order quantity and -ve a decrease.
Document Reference	For automatic movements the relevant Sales Order, Purchase Order, Work Order will be entered here. For many other movements you can control the reference.
Comments	Contains user entered data or extra text data concerning the transaction. This is limited to 30 characters.
User ID	The Transaction ID of the user who initiated the transaction.

Movement Types are as follows: (the list indicates Movement code, ACTION, “descriptor for reports and lists”, and {the system activity that generates the movement} and [+ or – effect on period part usage].)

This report setup window provides you with the ability to choose a range of selections and report types.

You can drag and drop onto the Print Report button from the Parts ScratchPads to obtain a report of selected parts only.

Field	Description
Start Date	Enter date that the movement sequence will start from.
From and To Part	Enter data that restricts the records selected. If left blank, data will be selected from the maximum and minimum extremes in the file. All selections criteria you enter will have to be met by each record processed.
One Page Per Part	If checked, this option will cause the report to page break after each part.
Ignore Bonding	If checked, no bonding or un-bonding transactions are included in the analysis.
Report Type list	Select a report type. Any custom reports entered in the Settings will appear at the bottom of the list.

Button	Action
Cancel	Aborts the process currently in session. The keyboard equivalent is the Esc key for Windows computers and Command-.(full stop or period) for the Mac.
Print Report	Will cause a report to be printed of the subject matter. Right-click to change the report destination.

This window is a general purpose listing of inventory history, opened in the course of drill-down. It is also used as a subwindow in the Stock History Listing window.

See the Inventory History Menu for details of movement types.

Field	Description
Movement List	Lists inventory movements for the selected part held on file. The Physical is the calculated quantity before the movement. Negative movement is outgoing stock. Double-click multi-location icon to view location and batch list for movement. This will open the Movement Locations and Batches window which will remain interactive with your list line selection.
Only Real	This option will remove such transactions as part allocations, order preparation, and other non-real movements.
Month To Date Qty	The calculated month-to-date usage from the list.
Quarter To Date Qty	The calculated quarter-to-date usage from the list.
Year To Date Qty	The calculated year-to-date usage from the list.

Button	Action
Print List	To print a report of inventory movements in the list. Right-click to select a report destination.

This pop-up window lists locations and batches associated with a selected inventory movements. It opens by double-clicking on the Stock History List window list in the first column where an icon indicates that multi-location data is associated with the inventory movement. This list window operates interactively with the stock movement list.

This report option window opens when you print a Last Movement type of report from the Inventory History Report Selection window.

Field	Description
Sort by Date	Check this option to sort the report by date.
Sort by Part Number	Check this option to sort the report by part number.
Ignore parts with no physical quantity	If checked, parts with no current physical quantity will be ignored.
Ignore allocations	If checked, adjustment type movements will be ignored.
Load ScratchPad if date before	If checked, the ScratchPad is loaded with parts found where the last movement is on or before the date following. The report will also print.
Date before	Enter a date up to which parts will be loaded into the ScratchPad.

Button	Action

This report setup window provides you with the ability to choose a range of selections, sort order and report types.

You can drag and drop onto the window from the Parts ScratchPads to obtain a report of selected parts only.

NOTE: This window contains fields introduced with version 5 that enable additional search (and sometimes sort controls), such as Adhoc extra where. For more help on their use and examples see the Client-Server SQL Introduction help.

Field	Description
Document Selection	Enter a selection in the Inventory History Selection subwindow.
Sort	Choose the field for the primary sort of parts on the report.
Report Type list	Select a report type. Any custom reports entered in the Settings will appear at the bottom of the list. The Last Movement type report does not have the normal selection and sort option. When printing, you will be offered options for the report in the Last Movement Options window.
Type List	List of all movement types. You can drag and drop type lines onto Movement Type range fields.

Button	Action
Cancel	Aborts the process currently in session. The keyboard equivalent is the Esc key for Windows computers and Command-.(full stop or period) for the Mac.
Print Report	Will cause a report to be printed of the subject matter. Right-click to change the report destination.

CUSTOM CAPABILITY: Stock history records hold a text field (from Version 2.00 onwards) which contains a coded list of multi-locations and batches associated with the stock movement. The History Listing with Batches and Locations report list this data. If you are designing a custom report or feature you can use the iProcessStock.$GetListFromSthloc(pSthloc) method return a list from the coded text. The list returned contains the columns Location, Batch, Qty. iProcessStock must be defined as a instance variable of object type and subtype VISION.oProcessStock.

This subwindow is used to define the range criteria for a selection of inventory history. It is displayed on windows requiring their selection.

Operation

Enter data in the data entry boxes to restrict the range of records. Records must meet all criteria entered to be selected. If the left and/or right data entry boxes are left blank for a particular criteria, records will be selected between the first and/or last otherwise qualifying record. Data entry boxes can be populated by finding a single item using Keyword Search, drag and drop from the Parts ScratchPad, or by double-clicking a list item from the Keyword Result window.

Data records can be obtained using one of the following methods or a combination of them (see Tip below):

Enter values into the selection ranges and use the Standard Search. The context menu provides a Clear Selection function.
Define or use a Custom Search.
Create an Ad Hoc Search Calculation using the context menu function.
Drag-and-drop one or more lines from the Parts ScratchPad (or BoM and Where-Used Listing) onto the general window area.
Use the ScratchPad Transfer Selected function
Use the KeyWord Search Transfer Selected function

TIP: Using an Ad Hoc Search Calculation (3) overrides any Custom Search (2) and a Custom Search overrides the Standard Search (1). In any of the search cases (1, 2 or 3), ScratchPad Transfer and Drag-and-Drop or KeyWord Search Transfer (4, 5 or 6) is combinational, so that records found using any of these methods must also conform to the search criteria adopted.

Field	Description
From and To	Enter data that restricts the records selected. If left blank, data will be selected from the maximum and minimum extremes in the file. All selections criteria you enter will have to be met by each record processed. TIP: From V5.1 stock history is recorded with a datetime coloumn entry rather than seperate date and time data columns. When selecting by date alone you will be selecting all those inventory movements that took place at midnight on the date you enter, not all those movements on that day. By default if you enter a to datetime of 1 Jan 2017 00:00:00, the from value, if empty, will be loaded with 1 Jan 2017 23:59:59. This will give you all movements within that day. Time is significant to potentially the Nano-Second (depending on the server).
All real movements	Selects all real physical stock movements only, ignoring such entries as order preparation history or allocations.
Use custom	To turn on and off the use of the custom search design. A custom search will override the standard search.
Custom search name	The name of the currently selected custom search. To use it click on the checkbox. To change it click on the Custom Search button.

Button	Action
Custom Search	Opens the Custom Search Selection window and checks the Use custom checkbox.
