Engineering Graphic
This window shows you an Engineering Graphic at full size and is opened with the Show Graphic function on the Engineering menu, or by double clicking on the small graphic on the maintenance window.
Each graphic will have a unique name number which is shown.
MACINTOSH ONLY: Graphics must be in PICT format and can be pasted into the field from the clipboard or read in directly from a PICT file using the Paste From File… command in the Edit menu.
WINDOWS ONLY: Graphics must be in Windows Meta format and can be pasted into the field from the clipboard or read in directly from a Windows meta file using the Paste From File… command in the Edit menu.
WARNING: If the data is being shared by both Macintosh and Windows computers on a common network, the “Shared picture format” must be ON in the Omnis Studio preferences.
The Graphic is displayed and printed in a 10 cms (4 inch) by 5 cms (2 inch) rectangle. If the original in not of this size or shape it will be scaled to fit, however it is stored in it’s original form.

Edit |
Allows you to Edit the record that is currently being displayed on the window. After making changes, confirm with an OK or revert with a Cancel. |
Add |
This will create a new (normally blank) record in the file. You will then be able to enter details for the record. Then confirm with an OK, or abandon the New record with a Cancel. |
Delete |
Execute this button to permanently remove the currently selected record from the file. If you are permitted to delete the item, you will be asked for confirmation, otherwise an explanation will be given. |
Cancel |
Aborts the process currently in session. The keyboard equivalent is the Esc key for Windows computers and Command-.(full stop or period) for the Mac. |
OK |
The OK button updates the data you have entered, or confirms the selection and/or processes the function you have called. |
