Sales Item Configuration Options
You can use Sales Item Configuration to create a Order or Job specific assembly from a set of options, the resultant assembly is given a part number constructed in the form XXX-123456-789. Where “XXX” is the prefix entered in the Company Details Maintenance window, “123456” is the SO number and “789” is the line item of the order. If the prefix is blank, Sales Item Configuration will not be accessible to any user on the system.
Sales Item Configuration options available to users are set up in this window that is opened when you select the File — System Manager — Sales Item Configuration menu function.
Two lists of parts are stored which restrict the options for all users in creating Sales Item Configured assemblies. This window enables you to maintain these lists and then save the new lists to file.
To add a part to either of the grids, click in the last line of the grid and tab past the end of the line. A new line will be automatically added in which you can enter a part number. You can also add parts using drag-and-drop from the parts ScratchPad or BoM listing window.
